It's been days since I slept soundly..Since the year started, I just kept getting the same ice-cold bull from my parents and on top of the bad weather and a whole lot of calculus, I was just there, trying to get more than just getting by.

But not last night. I felt pretty good... I didn't exactly want to pinpoint why.

Anyway, I got to talk to J-hoon yesterday. The bands Kjwan and Kapatid just came back from Cebu, so he was back studying...I asked him if we could probe the songwriting behind his two bands.. what defines opm, really? So he was game and hopefully the group I'm in in Filipino class would organize and really document his ideas. I idolize him so much.. I mean...I just never realized that jazz rudiments are so much of an asset if you study them. That's what J-hoon did..and it worked for him. Similar to that, you have a lot of artists who bank on that style to venture into so much diverse fusions.. It gets complicated but I believe that the art is pushed out even more when it doesn't lack that solid feel. Well anyway, hope it all works out next week.
