...finally out this May 8!

AAAAAAAAAcccHHHH!!

Double-disc pa yan ha..

I've always looked up to how the band's endured through close to two decades already, brewing funk, thrash, punk, rock and almost everything else. Iconic stuff. Despite a long hiatus before the release of Californication and By The Way, and multiple line-up changes in the 90s, they were still able to pull through. In fact, this is the first time they've recorded three consecutive studio albums without changing members. And I think something about them reminds me of what bands like Rage Against the Machine and The Smashing Pumpkins failed to do-- they quit. "Creative differences"?? Man, that's the most pungent lie (Naaakha ng..) I've ever come across with. That's why they had a band. That's why they had a collaboration-- to mesh whatever kind of differences they had to create something. The reason must've been deeper and more self-oriented. It's still totally unclear to me even though both the Pumpkins and RATM broke up several years ago. New doors for them, yes, but they obviously weren't as explosive.

Back to the chili peppers.

Some of my top picks have always been:

"My Lovely Man", "All Around the World", "Walkabout", "Transcending", "Fortune Faded", "Give It Away", "Right On Time", and "Soul to Squeeze". Marami pa yan eh, nakalimutan ko lang...

Snippet from the movie Anchorman!

Boss: "Times are changing, folks. This company needs diversity..."

Co-worker: "What's..diversity?

Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrel): "I believe diversity was an old ship used in the Spanish Civil War..."

Hahahahaha daaaamn..
