Ken Afford (hehe), that small restaurant along Katip has moved to a new location. A tad bigger but a block farther. Didn't know til last Sunday only, when the six of us dropped by for late lunch.
Giraffe prices, Turtle service, A-little-above-okay food. Haha. What if that was their slogan?!
But it's all okay. Maybe the staff was just adjusting to the place. It was crowded. Seemed like they never ran out of customers.
At least we got to meet Ken. hehe Just kidding
Anyway, my attention was constantly diverted to about three dvd vendors who kept loitering outside until I gave up and minded their loot. I went outside after eating to see if there was any stuff I liked. (!) Aaaaand to sort of test what kind of strategy they'd use to sell me their goods.
*I approach them casually
Me: "Di ho yata gumagana yan eh.."
*waits for a response
Me: "Di ho yata gumagana yan eh.."
Me: "Ehem.. Di naman ata gumagana yang dvd mo eh..Gumagana ho kaya yan?"
*DVD man looks in my direction then starts rubbing his belly in a very, if not the most inert way anyone has ever shown me.
Man he didn't even TRY to sell. Is that a modern marketing tactic or something? Kakaiba eh. I was going to buy but I changed my mind.

Tool's new album "10,000 days" is mind-flagellating. Hehe. I thought Lateralus was their most complex and relentless work ever and I was wrong.. They always come up with something more interesting..I did some research on the album and I found opinions like "sex for the ears" and "polyrhythmic". Hehe... Very Tool. It's all over Limewire now thanks to a generous somebody. Diiiig :D
I liked "Jambi", "Vicarious", "The Pot" and "Wings For Marie".
These guys write like they got some prolonged morbid mood swing. hehe
