It hasn't been a numb blog. Ever since the first entry I've been treating it like this retreat hut, ready to catch any whims on an irregular basis. It's been through a world of fun. Wholesome shit, gay shit, crass stuff, rap from a guy named Momoy, neglect, the occasional goodness, sarcasm, almost everything but nude paintings. Hehe. I even put the fookien translation of bread which is clearly lost in an archive somewhere. Anyway, this is all okay to me. I mean, this retreat house stuff I was saying is what it really is.

A lot of fuss lately about getting OJT's in the recent job fair. Somehow found myself riding along by applying to the following companies: Unilever, P&G, and Glaxo. If they weren't just famous ones, they'd sound like alien ships.


Survival of the fattest of the wallets. It is distracting when you see a classroom topic manifesting itself in ways like this, and you're part of it. The only thing you're sure of is that you're not sure.

I went to that Cersa variety show last night.

YOWN!

Some show that was. I just get so easily impressed when there's funk or world or just plain rock in the lineup.

Lemme describe some acts I liked.

1. The Out of Body Special
Sweet. The energy makes you wanna lift off the dorm grounds. Band didn't need the extra kick. It was great in itself. 'Soundcheck' exploded like a bomb in Baghdad (ohoho another lame metaphor! hehe). Sorry I just like the genre very much, whatever it is.

2. Severo
The comeback! YEAAAH. A more vengeful, wilder version of the OBS but I guess I have to say it: the vocalist seems to be more experienced in terms of how he handled the set. Parang kapatid ni bamboo eh (a pun!). He danced more. His voice sounds a bit like Robert Plant (just a tiny bit) and the funk was still good. But the others acted dead.

3. Brigada
HEAVY & GOOD.

4. Coffeebreak Island
Ska. Did some Sublime covers and made everybody happy with the extremely upbeat tempo. Good break from all the heavy rock.
