This is newly updated...could be the "calm like a bomb" v.2 !
Nooo....I'm as bald as Billy Corgan..i miss my long hair.......really.
Last Friday's Intrams opening was really fun... What happened was that we all gathered at the covered courts to cheer...ourselves. Weird. Hence, we lit the true blue fire in the traditional Atenean manner. *snickers* The fun part (besides staring at all those muses...) was when we started throwing powder at everyone we could throw at! Hahahahaha! Man, we looked like pastries with green jelly...
Once again, we looked like we ended up having no muse to brag about in front of the whole crowd BUT then we actually had one, I mean three...ehem...muses. Yeah, they were late for the parade but they still looked so pretty and people were actually looking at us you know. The muses were Maxene Magalona, the chick in purple in the kfc commercial (?), and Cannu's friend.
Still, the powder brawl topped the events of the day list.
After all the glamour clamoring, the class band and I practiced...again. We...practiced. Yeah, we really did. We jammed til our hands got pretty much sore. After all the chaos, we agreed to cover the following:
1. Finch - Letters to You
2. Finch - What it is to Burn
3. Something Corporate - Punk Rock Princess
4. The Ataris - In this Diary
5. Incubus - A Certain Shade of Green
6. The Smashing Pumpkins - Today
Wow. Stuff that people aren't that familiar with. I think wer'e going somewhere with this. Wer'e pretty serious. We just need to complete the equipment...Yeah, I am talking to myself on this since the bass and the guitars are already there...drums na lang...and the amps for the uncontrollable NOISE. We should develop more chemistry though.
Ok, I saw the new Michelle Branch video as well as the new one from Audioslave. Well, what do I think? I think Ms. Branch might have had ventured into the alternative sound quite a bit. She sounds like Alanis with a touch of PJ Harvey during the verse. And she looks pretty too. She should migrate to the alternative scene soon. It's better for her.
On the other hand, the Audioslave mtv of "Show Me How To Live" was great! They looked like they were playing at this ranch on the outskirts of Mexico or something. My favorite part was when Tom Morello had his fist in the air the whole time while playing the guitar solo. Ahh!! Astig.
