John Lennon, the man.

The June 28 gig was kind of disappointing for a lot of reasons although it was more or less similar to the previous one which turned out to be a success a week ago. Lots of people didn't come which kind of let me down at first and I figured: who'd want to see my band play?...Who'd want to see me play?...Ha! I'm trying to understand why or maybe forget why I even hoped 3/4 of the people I invited even considered going to Ardz. Though it was a good thing David, Inigo, Isi, Poch, Rael, Martin, & Paul went...Ha...tambay sa Select! Clover Chips, Coffee & Dr. Pepper until 12. We basically reminisced a lot about the last school year - highs and lows, and all that bad scores we used to suffer from. Aside from the semi-backstabbing, we swapped stories - from Korean mishaps to the apparently brainless teachers to basketball, in King Pajaro fashion.
Well, I think the performance may have had reached half a notch below our standards. Lots of unseen errors. Obe, the vocalist, admitted some wrong gestures and the crash cymbal was really bad. It's not as bad as what happened months ago when we were simply doomed up front. Ha! Like the audience playing "small" practical jokes. Or like stepping on minefields onstage. Hmmm...Like our almost-shrapnel-lacerated reputation we so want to change for the better. The band did four songs, our tagalog composition included. I think we need some kind of definite shape. Wer'e still looking for that fresh sound. You know, like that of something that surprises people. I personally want to go grunge/or a genre which focuses a lot on the guitar and a bit of odd-time on the drums if needed. We have around 6 original songs and we WANT to record but wer'e still saving up for it because it might cost us about P2,000. And at the same time we want to improve on the whole set when we play. We hope to lessen the FLAWS in the process.

God, this is tiring. I'm gonna consider hibernating for while. Rest from the band. I'll try to be inspired while at it. Consequently, I have to be focusing on the important things I guess. I'm thinking college or trying to "ace" Physics or something...
Last Friday was really exhausting. CAT from 9 to 11. Yeah, every part of my body was...aggravated. It's not nice to stand around obeying orders and march endlessly out in the sun for two hours. A waste of energy. "Permission to wipe my f*n face, sir!" Ahhh!! I hate it. Hmmm..."Permission to kick your ass, sir!" I hate the fact that some officers act so experienced and shout around when they want to. Threatening us to follow them. Man, it's just so unnecessary. I could debate forever but I guess tradition will always fuel the system. Aside from all that, the worst part of abiding by it is the stupid HAIRCUTS we all have to have! Yeah..yeah. white-side-wall..and whatever crap they throw at us. CAT sucks. What....is.....a.....haircut??? Pag ako nag-college...I'm gonna wave around my frickin long hair in front of those frickin Jesuits!!!! Ahhhh!! Brutally Do or brutally die....Once again, we are......incarcerated in the true blue manner we are so proud of.
Then we had classes from 1 to 5 pm. Added energy loss.
Then we had the Mass of...the Holy...Spirit. Yeah, burn, candle, burn.
Finally, we had this salu-salo, where we ate and mingled with each other, parents, girls and whatnot. I met Lanie for the first time..Ha! I love her site's pink motif...I actually want to comprehend the site's girlish theme. bahala na...
Ok, I never realized what a chick Michelle Branch is. I mean she plays the guitar, she sings, she likes Led Zeppelin, and on top of that she's pretty. Uhh...should I say "Rock on" now?
