Ok. To start with, it'll be my birthday on Friday, November 7. Yeah, I know I'm young. Err.. pretty young. No.. wait.. really. Well, at least I'm 17. It'll seem like decades however before I can vote or finally and legally (cause I could get in without the paranoid stares) get to watch an R-rated movie or even finally get to hear my mom say "Ralph you're 18 already. Do something worthwile. I shouldn't even be telling you this!!!" Haha. Damn. I'm always prone to think that she'd be giving me her usual dose of self-righteous insights because I just predict these kind of things once in a while. It's just too ordinary. I feel like I'm living this black and white movie. Sometimes, it's too by-the-book...
Anyway, the semestral break was really nice. Well, it was... for me. The break started at exactly 4:05 pm that amber-skied Wednesday last week. Everyone wanted to get out of the Ateneo like it was suddenly infested by Malaria or something. Yeah.. the disease of working too much I figured. Anyway, I felt so relieved to finally seeing time to fulfil my fantasy to fall down to my bed from a right-angle degree kind of stance. And then sleeping til my classmates call me up for the homework.. which was a week after that Thursday-- the day before we finally come back to school. Yep. I went away.
Haay... I stayed up til around 2 am in the morning talking to her. It was really dreamily fun. I enjoyed every minute of that 3-4 hour ear-sweating call. Haay... the things that make you smile. Priceless, Priceless.
The day after that was a Thursday. I woke up at 8:30 am only to remember that I had practice with the band that morning. I barely had an hour to prepare. Haha! I was late by 29 minutes. Sorry. Anyway, we practiced the cover songs. Did the Hoobastank song. My cellphone went out on a vacation. Argh. Last minute of betrayal. In short, it malfunctioned. I fixed it only recently. Anyway again, too bad I didnt go to that Halloween party that day. Too bad I didn't see the crowd. It was at Ina's place. Sayang talaga. I heard Ina was wearing blue contact lens. Haha! Man..

Friday was ok. I hanged around with my brothers and slept again. Did chores. Cooked whatever I saw. Argh. Caveman stuff. I managed to study Oasis' "Live Forever" on the guitar though. :)
Saturday was better than Friday. I played basketball with my brothers and I prepared for my trip to Punta Fuego the day after. I heard mass before having a late dinner. Then, I ended the day by abusing the phone. Really nice conversation. I missed her. I do not know why. I just did. Argh. :)
Sunday was my scheduled trip to paradise. Thank you God Almighty! I travelled to Punta Fuego which is situated along the coast of Batangas' shores, past the cliche resorts of Tagaytay. Punta Fuego is this isolated penninsula for the gods. Yeah, I know.. I wasnt.. a god. But then I still had fun pretending to be one. I was in paradise man!! I remember staring at the white-sand beach sipping my pineapple juice, while I was massaged by this really exotic... lady.. err.. whatever. Haha! Oh yeah. Authentic morning view by the shores of heaven.. while enjoying a Medterranean buffet with Spanish appetizers and a really nice desert! I never thought I'd experience that man! It was all for free. My God! I even went to the gym for about 2-3 hours and abused the treadmill. I pretended I missed out on CAT and abused it even more. I ran all day. I lifted weights. God. I am.. not me anymore. Haha! After that, I went to the room and watched whatever movie there was. I enjoyed everything.. I missed Jamie as usual. Sobra. Di ko na talaga alam kung bakit. Argh... Anyway, I slept in a huge bed. It was cold. Hotel style. Everything was so clean. :)
I woke up at around close to 6 am the next day and I went to the (oh yeah...) veranda (whoa.) to smell the air. I watched the sunrise as it gently touched the shores of the beach with its overwhelming orangeness. I was in a ***** movie. Haha! I just never get to feel this. Anyway, I drank some soya milk and ate my breakfast and then I made my way to the "Infinity Pool". It was called like that because the two-part pool is elevated in such a way that when you swim there, the view is nothing but the ocean stretching out to infinty, forming this horizontal line connecting two mountains teeming with mansions owned by the Elizaldes and the Zobels. So there. I swam to my heart's content. Grabe.. if you could just feel the breeze there. Refreshing. *sighs* I saw Americans and Spanish people getting a tan also. Didn't care.
Anyway, what I did (to my surprise!!) was I persuaded the dj there to play my cd's. So.. while I was watching a horde of model-looking babes having a tan and bathing in the pool, everyone HAD to listen to: (hehehehe!!) Thursday, Incubus, Weezer, and Our Lady Peace!! Hahaha! It was loud! I beat the latino motif man! Paul and I even noticed this really old Spanish couple who were literally freaked out when they heard Thursday's "Understanding in a car crash"!! Haha! I was hearing stuff like "Que musika.. loud.. bad... " Hehehe! I bet they were trying to say "What on earth is that sound? Wrong sound. Change. Change now. Change. Please. The sound. Is that what they call rock and roll?!" Hahaha! Taste some freedom old timers. *hands poised in the frisbree position and throws them a CD* Bwahaha! Take that. Hehe. I'll never change my sounds. Haha! Pry my cd's off my kung-fu grip... Haha! Argh. Cant' control my laughter. Haha! Must be the sugar.
I also played a bit of billards with my brothers at the Terrazas. Nice place. I felt like I was in this surreal haven. Solid culmination of beach colors. Oh yeah. I was annoyed by this Korean guy though. Damn it. Why is that everywhere I go, there's always a certain influx of Korean blood. Argh. I'm sick of them. Flat-faced culture-shocked people trying to understand us! Bleak chance man. Anyway, that off-fashioned man was a pain in the ass. He complained about everything. Excruciatingly sophisticated talker. Revolting treatment to his son. Bad, bad, bad. His son beat him in billards though. What a sissy. The kid was barely 9 years old. Basta. One thing's clear for my future. I will never wear my socks too high, tuck in a badly striped collared shirt, wear my shorts so high and talk classy shit about how I should be treated differently. No way.
Anyway, I came home at around 7 pm that Monday evening. I still missed her. Sobra. I cooked some rice. (hey.. I can live without a maid! Sobra. They become useless when you know what you're doing) Anyway, there was chicken to eat. I had to skin off the darn animal. Then we all dug in. Ha! Thank God.
Tuesday was nothing but the day before school. Fact given. Argh. Sloth is sadly a sin. Stop me.. someone. I didn't drink my coffee...
Anyway, my class will have this field (wha?) trip to Dis-Enchanted err.. Kingdom. Oh ma' gawd. It'll be this Friday. Hope it doens't rain. It's Jamie's retreat also this weekend. I'll miss her yet again. Anyway, the trip'll fall on my birthday. Cheers to me. And my classmate Roy Amoncio. He's turning 18 on the same day. Happy Birthday to you and I. :)
Anyway, there'll be only two school days. That is this Wednesday and Thursday. Speaking of Thursday, I am so in love with that band! Thursday! Thursday?!? Thursday! Oh yeah! Here's a glimpse.

Understanding in a car crash - Thursday
Splintered piece of glass falls in the seat of gets caught
These broken windows, open locks, reminders of the youth we lost
In trying so hard to look away from you
We followed white lines to the sunset
I crash my car everyday the same way
Time to let this pass
(the time it takes, the time it takes to let go)
Time runs through our veins.
(it starts and stops and starts and stops again)
We don't stand a chance in this threadbare time
(to take time to break the cycle)
Staring at the setting sun
No reason to come back again
The twlight world in blue and white
The needle and the damage done
I dont want to feel this way forever
A dead letter marked return to sender
The broken watch you gave me turns into a compass
It's hands still point to the same time 12:03, our last goodbye
So push the seats back a little further
(Roll the windows down and take a breath)
I can see the headlights coming
They paint the world in red and broken glass
The spinning hubcaps set the tempo for the music of a broken window
When the lights are on and the cameras click
We open up the lens to broken glass and it's over in a flash
I'll never understand
Understanding in a car crash
