post 33

Ok, first off, I need to say that I need to write this.

Yup. Sembreak! Alright. I might leave my brain cold for a few a days. Oh Yeah. Relax muna. To hell with Physics. I'm taking a vacation. I think. But I'm also practicing with the band.. new stuff to cover - Hoobastank's Ready For You.

Anyway, I went to that Mass at the Chruch of Gesu. Then I was coerced to hear the rally...where they defended Chief Justice Davide. Cory Aquino was even there. Hmm. boring stuff. I'm hoping for a swift resolution to all this anyway... despite the fact that I don't really care. History's practically replaying itself -- in another style so to speak. So there. I hope it all ends. And I HOPE FPJ doesnt win anything. Argh! There can/should never be a solid place for all these celebrity politicians anyway. They don't know shit about how things work. I see it as their selfish way to taste every pleasure just before they die. And they're creeping their way to the Senate or wherever someone wears something extraordinarily special by Inno Sotto. :p

Last Saturday though, October 25 (93% the latter part of the day) was probably the one of the best days of my fourth year life. And it could even be one of the best days of my so-called (then non-existent) high school life. Grabe. Sobra. Argh.

My face didnt probably say it all but deep down inside I enjoyed every minute of putting up with my constant altertation of my feelings: from everything that's synonymous with happy to ecstatically anxious to really pleased to everything that's synonymous with thankful. Oh yeah!

What happened was basically the gig. It was a really really "big" thing for us. We opened for bands like Narda, Boy Elroy, Rampqueen, Spongecola, and Plane Divides the Sky. We called ourselves "& more". (Well, duh to the people who often go here...) We are Inigo on vocals, Isi on bass, Poch and Edwin on guitars, and Me on the drums.. with Rael doing second voice on "Cute without an E" (and soon Patrick Lubenia should hopefully play the piano for us so that I can fulfil my dream of covering Silverchair's Miss You Love!). Besides that, we were all really hyped up, excited, anxious, flattered (hahaha... im sure!), aspiring, happy, happy again, overpracticed for the night, sleepy, happy again, inspired (yeah yeah), and a lot more... cause we're and more..? hahaha! corny. We did covers of The Offspring's "I want you bad", Taking Back Sunday's "Cute without an E", and Silverchair's "Freak". Grabe. I remember getting all hyped up the whole time. I stood up again at some part of "Freak" and hit both cymbals like I suffered from a really bad case of repressed anger. Ha! But it was an amazing and liberating experience. Rael sang in public for the first time and we surprised ourselves a lot more than the previous gig we had in the Hayes Hall, which was ok also. The amps sucked as usual but the overall effect was tolerably... fantastic.. astig.. lahat na! Grabe. I can't believe we've made it this far.. (though I miss Pleasurebox..) We even managed to get a gig on Nov. 13. It'll be at the Covered Courts, Miriam HS. Aaaahhh! Practice.

But the spotlight of that night for me was... Jamie. Hahaha! Of course. It meant so much that she came. Man... di na ako magiging subtle muna! I'm frustrating my own self. Ok.. She was so pretty. Believe me. Really. *chokes* I have this pretty deep definition of pretty that if I were to say it all, it could encompass this eternal thesis paper. Grabe.. so many things are running through my mind about her that I'm speechless. Anyway, here's a glimpse: what's really pretty is how beautiful someone is inside. But Jamie.. had both. Basta. Well, I'm happy I made her happy (kahit konti). Yun na yun. That's my main objective all the time-- to make other people feel happier than the usual. :) Man, if I could just scan her face. (haha.. sama! sakit nun..). Basta. I've always wanted something really nice to look at in my wallet. But I don't have any. Hahaha! Sana siya na lang. :) Anyway, she was with her friend Cheesy. She was nice. Good conversation. I saw a lot of people.. girls, etc. But Jamie was far better looking than them. Seryoso. Forgive me cause I tend to compare and I don't know why I'm so biased with her. Argh. It's true. She has this smile. Basta. She makes me smile. :) Thanks for coming...man. I really appreciated the date.. errr.. if you could call it one... I dunno. Basta.. I had fun. Period. :)

Anyway, I saw Bobbie. She thought she scared me when she went up to me and introduced herself while shaking my hand.. but she didnt scare me... I was just surprised. Tapos si Jamie.. tawa ng tawa sa akin.. Nasira ko pa yung table. hehe... :)

MY THANKS ALSO TO 4G (especially those who came: Chip, Ramlo, Kelvin, Macky, Chris, Martin, Diego, etc) WHO EITHER LITERALLY OR MUTUALLY SUPPORT OUR BAND IN ANY WAY! WE APPRECIATE IT... kahit beginners pa lang kami. Salamat! :)
