Feb. 10, Thursday

I just can't help it.. I've been posting almost everyday now.

New stuff.

I don't exactly know how to describe how this EP is so good. Or why I've been indulging in the UK hype... Brit rock or maybe somewhere in between. It's not the first time a genre like this was formed, but I have to say that this is really convincing. Good start for a sideband. Like a better Box Car Racer... but then again you can't compare because you're talking about two different genres. I have a lot more in my stash actually. It's a perfect companion piece to Franz Ferdinand. Aaaaaand... it's fronted by Damon Albarn. Parang Blur + Franz.

Geek rock. :P A primer of sorts... Personally, Maladroit has better songs but this 60s of a trash rock band has always been good to listen to. Magaling sila kahit mejo palaging may formula yung mga kanta.. Rivers Cuomo. The guy's a twisted genius. He makes his way onto the anxious and paranoid "Hash Pipe" and the jittery "Glorious Days," making the "Green Album" somewhat the most absorbing and rounded vision from these pop masters yet. Bili na sa Recto. Haha.

By the way, I made a poem a little late last year.. But I forgot about it till recently. It's extremely sarcastic so go figure. Comment if you want.

"Well-crap-ted"

Bring your blog-flavored popcorn
Watch this transcend porn
Pond's young residue
Of the radio and Seventeen, they grew
And of the MTV-demented
Souped guises, they wrought and meant it
See how they go about
With the semi-burden of doubt
Making over-distilled patterns
Making ways to repressively mimick ferns
Passive look to the sky
As the smoke makes it cry

It never fails to entertain
How Dean never fails to buy a new supply of Best Buy Size 3 paper
Whacks off several times
Before he decides to mindlessly put on his list
...the most formless victims of reverberating lunacy.

"Putangina mo, gago, tarantado, motherfucker!"
You can surely "make mura" all you want but it won't change the fact
...That you frequented the CR forty-seven times yesterday
Hoping you'd look like someone today
...That you said "later" to the people you care about but meant "forever"
Hoping to squeak by with a little furnishing of emotion
...That you made a band today
Hoping for an an outlet that compromised everything

That you caved in
Hoping you would not.

Why don't you just use your sun cellular phone
Burn the lines 24/7 so you won't feel alone

Angst-ridden, noh? Hahaha! :D

Lots of stress coming these days. I've been mastering the art of multitasking: studying Calculus, making papers left and right, cooking, taking out the trash, taking naps, calling Jamie up, eating for less than 10 mins... After this week's over, it'll be alright.

Tribute to one of the most "influential" American modern rock groups from punk & indie rock groups of the '90s. Includes Eve 6, Weezer, Superdrag, Local H, Reel Big Fish, Nada Surf, Samiam and Sense Field. Good stuff.
