FRIDAY, Feb. 4

Manna. I wanna taste the damn thing. I think it's reminiscent of cadbury's crunchie, but with an old testament kick to it.

Mmmm... *chokes*

The thing is...I skipped lunch and I'm fucking starving. :P

Alright. More stuff to check out.

Modest Mouse's "Good News For People Who Love Bad News"

The stuff is actually really good (,Miah). The lyrics are simpler than Built to Spill (for ex.), the arrangements tamer, but the vitality remains. The prevailing mood is that it's pulled off something extraordinary here: a well-rounded, lovable record that doesn't sound anything like "over-produced."

The Shins - "Chutes Too Narrow"

Not bad (,Aby). The thing about The Shins is that it isn't a purely acoustic band; they often and usually employ electric guitars on their songs. But I think this can be labeled an acoustic rock band because almost every song is primarily built around acoustic guitars and is always way to the forefront in the mix. On top of that, they have steady melodies which I like. Astig!

Built To Spill's "There's Nothing wrong with Love"

This is some moody ballad thing right here but it's been a good addition to my mp3 collection. It's got these occasional primal screams and quirkyness...garage rock.. post, maybe.

It's one of the best indie bands out there..

More to follow... Enjoy the weekend. No classes on Monday! Yes! I've been waiting and waiting.... and waiting... and waiting... (repeat sequence 30x) for this..
