Head Automatica

Add this to the rack. This is "Decadence", Head Automtica's debut. The whole package sounds like nothing you would imagine (i.e. rap metal). *drools* If you guys are familiar with GJ's "Radio Cambodia", the album is kind of headed for that upbeat tempo all over. The record is very convincing as it is the collaboration of Glassjaw's frontman and drummer with Gorillaz's "The Automator" (that funky kid..) It's rock you can (almost, in my case) dance to. It's loud and can be boring to those who listen to hiphop, rnb and others. But to me, the record is brillant. It lays out beautiful melodies that are deceptively complex, layering sounds and instruments upon one another..

Hmm. Why do I like so many bemusing music?

Around 7pm last Friday, I rode the Ikot jeep for the first time in UP Diliman. The streets were dimly lit but I managed to reach Abelardo Hall anyway. Jamie and I were going to watch a play. At first, I thought it was for school but all that changed when all the millenium-old people came in asking me to usher them inside. Staggering, of course. Hijo, saan ba ang entrance? Nasaan ang tiket ko? Over here, Ma'm. Libre ho entrace.. So there I was waiting, cleaning my drumsticks while I did and more 80-ish folk spooked up and then Jamie finally came with her family. She seemed upset about something..I really didn't find out but I guess it was pretty trivial. You know, she always looks and smells great. It's intrinsic. I cannot fully describe how attracted I am to her all the time both on the inside and the outside. She is just so beautiful. Every angle is perfect. The mood swings? I don't mind.

Well anyway, the play was a sucky one but it didn't really matter. HAHA!

All I wanted was to be with her. I mean..why else would I take two long jeep rides to a building that had "1964" engraved on it? It doesn't matter if I had to put up with people who just had to be four times as old as me....

Being with her. That makes me happy.
