I barely have my index finger's nail clutching on my C for Math 19: Cal(not so)'cul'us. I hate it. It is so fucking frustrating to have studied for every long test and just fare way below than my expectations but I know there is tomorrow to try again and just beat the shit out of derivatives, revenue analysis, and the seemingly simple but complex shtick of it all. I have something to be happy about though. I aced English! I currently pegged an A for Veric's class but I still have to maintain it though. Haha. Yeah!
Change topic.
Head. You guys know Head, right?

He quit Korn, citing a recent religious awakening. Tangina! Tsk. Good thing David Silveria's still there. Why a sudden shift of music? Hmm. I like Korn becuase it doesn't take on a definite genre. It can be intoxicating at times but I spread out, so I can listen to heavy stuff once in a while. I miss Korn's "Ball Toungue". :P
“Anger is a good thing, and if kids want to listen to Korn, good, but there’s happiness after the anger. I’m going to show it through my actions how much I love my fans.” -Head
Oh shwell.

Well anyway, I had a strangely...great weekend. I know it's a bit late for this but what the heck.. it's still something worth writing about.
Thursday, we spent our supposedly jading post-math break jamming at Blueberry Jam (a shack..actually a haven..). I left the place pop-rocked, drained but happy. Ang galeng nilang lahat. Euric actually has potential for spoken word, Miah follows the rhythm well and Chino adds the mmmmms.... Aby has a good voice although she should project more with confidence to really blend with everyone else... Micho and Michelle just jumped around and shot some footage. We ate at Dencio's after, then I met up with Obe and we dropped by Miggy's so we can practice for an acoustic gig later that night which was originally supposed to be in UP Diliman but shifted to TRIBU (this new bar along Xavierville Avenue). My gear was...was kind of deviant this time. I brought my standard bonggos and attached this unique perc from Thailand (like a snare) then a goatskinned drum that kind of served as the bass. Basta ang ganda... The Tribu gig was ok if not for the lack of amps..(we had to provide our own).
The day after was home/rest/bonding with the boob-tube day.
Jamie, I love you. :D
Saturday was spent out. We started doing the project for Filipino 12 at Micho's place where we ate, tried to brainstorm.

Max Brenner Chocolates are really good. Damn.
I will never forget how I was assaulted by this clingy canine creep... A mini poodle with a not-so-mini-desire-to-hump-my-leg.

"Cheefy"... harassment in the flesh.
Anyway, that was not the point of the project at all. No clingy dogs. Basically, we did some interviews about what OPM is right now.. how it's evolved and how the diverse subgenres are incorporated.. it was a bit vague but at least we kind of knew the flow. We went to Market Market to shoot some of the most ridiculous answers ever. I just had to ask...I mean cmon.. This girl misunderstood almost everything. I asked what OPM stood for and what it means to her but all this girl said was "..like the music of
Britney Spear
??" (Take note, no "S" on Spear...) Oh God. Then we went around hoping to find something workable....we found Arnel Ignacio (the chest hair, dude, the chest hair...) who was basically against Bamboo and everything pinoy rock is. It's sad, really. People these days dwell on the surface of a certain kind of music, neglecting its aesthetics in the process. :(I went to Powerplant afterwards where I met up with Jamie. We just went around. :D I was so happy to see her again. As in really in a good mood. We only get to see each other every weekends (minsan hindi pa nga eh..) and I just had the greatest time taking time with her, walking, talking, laughing. The simplest things can be so momentuous sometimes. :D She smelled sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good. Happens every time, actually. She tells me she doesn't put on a scent or anything sometimes, but there's just something alluring about her. Really. Happy 11 months. :D
Sunday was an edifying experience. HAHAHA! We lost. The futsall tournament, I mean. We were so.......back there. I mean...we couldn't even score. We were eaten alive, with gravy. But honestly I had a great time. No regrets... I didn't expect a hat trick or anything.. Cmon... have you seen me lately? I look just a notch above scrawny. :D Hahaha! 4th place. Beat that. :)
