Double discs warm me up. I dig how it seems to shout out its sacredness; the long months of recording, sweating, bleeding. From the Pumpkins' Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness to the more blues-y compilations, I've always been fascinated by extended records making a name for themselves. This double-disc record is Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti, the last great album unscathed by influences of the day (i.e. electronica). Though I don't have the album, the couple songs I've listened to off it would have been worth the price tag. Heavy blues, experimental sounds.. the ultra-Zeppelinesque collection punctuates the 70's with a noisy thud.
